Diderot.Art, Una nueva forma de comprar arte contemporáneo llegó a Uruguay

La plataforma líder en Latinoamérica en comercialización de artistas contemporáneos, Diderot.Art, desembarcó en Uruguay, democratizando el acceso al arte y haciendo que comprar una obra sea mucho más fácil y cómodo.

Más de 20 artistas uruguayos se sumaron a la galería de arte contemporáneo online Diderot.Art que, desde su lanzamiento en Argentina en 2017, busca acercar el arte a las personas a través de una plataforma de fácil navegación y un fuerte compromiso con la curaduría de las obras seleccionadas.

Diderot desembarcó oficialmente en Uruguay el 18 de setiembre con una exposición colectiva de artistas contemporáneos uruguayos que ahora son representados por la galería. La presentación se realizó en Casa Solís Distrito El Globo, Montevideo.

Diderot.Art nació como el primer e-commerce de arte contemporáneo de Argentina, de artistas consolidados y emergentes especialmente seleccionados por una curadora. En 2021, luego de cuatro años de éxito sostenido, la marca se instaló en México y en 2024 desembarcó en Uruguay, de la mano de su representante en nuestro país, Fiona White.

«Diderot.Art responde al fenómeno de la era digital que se agudizó con la pandemia. El alcance de la web es infinito y está abierto las 24 horas, los siete días de la semana. Los clientes pueden navegar y ver durante el tiempo que quieran, a la hora que quieran, desde cualquier lugar en el que estén, y conocer la obra de muchos artistas talentosos», explica Fiona White, representante de Diderot.Art en Uruguay.

La plataforma cuenta con un servicio de asesoramiento personalizado a través del cual sus representantes y curadoras asisten al cliente a la hora de elegir la obra que mejor se adapte a su casa, oficina, jardín o negocio. Además, también cuenta con una nueva función muy fácil de usar donde el cliente puede subir una foto de su espacio y, a través de un fotomontaje, visualizar cómo quedaría la obra seleccionada en ese lugar. Y, como si esto no fuera ayuda suficiente para tomar la decisión de compra, Diderot ofrece un servicio de siete días de prueba de la obra luego de su compra, y la posibilidad de devolverla si finalmente el cliente no está totalmente convencido de lo que compró.

La misión de Diderot.Art es democratizar el acceso al arte, permitiendo que tanto coleccionistas experimentados como nuevos compradores puedan descubrir y adquirir obras de arte de manera sencilla y segura. La plataforma busca desmitificar el arte como accesible solo para unos pocos, acercando artistas a compradores, a través de una página web, sin intermediarios.

Con este nuevo lanzamiento en Uruguay, ahora personas de todo el mundo pueden acceder a la obra de artistas uruguayos, así como también personas que viven en el territorio nacional pueden comprar una obra de artistas locales, argentinos o mexicanos y recibirla en pocos días a través del servicio de envíos internacionales que ofrece la plataforma.

Para el lanzamiento en Uruguay, viajaron especialmente sus directoras, Lucrecia Cornejo y Angie Braun del Corral, para acompañar a Fiona White y al staff local integrado por Pía Susaceta como asesora curatorial, María Elena Rojo como productora y Victoria Schriman en comunicación. Un equipo de mujeres que avanza en dar visibilidad al mercado del arte local, hacer conocer a talentosos artistas y conectar a través del arte a las personas.
